How to jailbreak iOS 5.1.1 using Redsn0w 0.9.10b8b


Just after the release of iOS 5.1.1, user who updated their devices to this new firmware version might be looking to jailbreak it. If you are one of those iOs 5.1.1 user and are looking to jailbreak it, you can do it right away using latest version of Redsn0w i,e 0.9.10b8b.
Note 1: Jailbreak for iOs 5.1.1 is a tethered jailbreak which means that you will have to connect your device with computer and boot it with redsn0w everytime it powers off or restarts.
Note 2: This jailbreak is only for A4 devices. iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and iPad 3 cannot be jailbroken on iOs 5.1.1 till now.


Step 1: Run Redsn0w 0.9.10b8b and connect your device with computer. Head over to Extras >> Select IPSW and select the 5.1 IPSW file for your device you downloaded in the step 3.
Step 3: Go back to Redsn0w’s main page and click Jailbreak.

Step 4: Put your device into DFU mode by following the on screen instructions.
Step 5: Keep Install Cydia checked, click Next button to proceed.
Step 6: Your device is being jailbroken. Keep patience.
Step 7: Once everything has completed, your device will return to Apple logo and will get stuck there as it is    a tethered jailbreak.
Step 8: Go back to Redsn0w and select Extras >> Just Boot to boot your device tethered.
